Project Outcomes

Much more than just a playground- we began a process of dreaming, imagining and planning an ambitious transformation and revitalization of our well-worn outdoor spaces.  We asked our students what they like to do during recess and how they would improve their schoolyard.  Their input and suggestions, along with much research has helped us to shape a bright and ambitious vision which includes:

• A safe, inclusive, challenging and fun new play structure for children aged 5-12 years.
• Basketball hoops, benches and bike racks  
• An outdoor classroom- a valuable teaching and learning resource
• Redesigned welcoming area with improved pedestrian access to promote walking to school.
